Where's Waldo?

This was us at Brian's work party.

Grandpa and Nana kept our little guy for the night last night. Josiah loved it! It was his first sleep over.  And we are so thankful for Nana and Grandpa living close by now :-) to be with our kiddos!

Halloween Pasts

Call my crazy, but I really enjoy Halloween. I love dressing up in fun\funny costumes!  Every year since we've been married Brian and I have dressed up for Halloween and it's always SO MUCH FUN!!! So let's recap the last 5 years we've been married....

This was 2005, our first year and he was a highschool jock and I was - well, I'm not quite sure what I was, but here's the picture

2006, We went with our dear friends (Max and Megan Scoon- Miss ya'll so much!!!!) Megan and I were a couple and...

Max and Brian were a couple ;-)  ha! I like the Marijuna plant on Brian's hat - cracks me up!

We moved to Spokane in 2007 and found new friends who also liked to dress up. This year we were Jack and Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas

2008, Pregnant with Josiah, Brian was Tom Hanks and my belly was Wilson the volleyball from the movie Castaway.

i was also teaching preschool at the time and turned the belly into a pumpkin- kids loved it!

Last year 2009, Brian was Howie Mandel from Deal or No Deal and I was one of the girls holding the breifcase :-) (my bridesmaid dress came in handy this year).

Tomorrow is our annual H-ween party.... Stay tuned to see what costume idea we have in store for this year :-)

Preparing for Halloween weekend!

Halloween weekend is upon us and Josiah has been practicing his trick or treating skills at home. We are going to go up to Brian's work here in a bit to do our first trick or treating for the weekend.  Here's how it's going so far.

More pictures with 2 cute kids in costume to come....

All things Fall

We have been enjoying our BEAUTIFUL fall here in Spokane. The weather has been really nice that we are able to spend alot of time outdoors still.

Josiah carving his first pumpkin :-)  (lately he's really been into wearing his sunglasses-a.k.a. "eyes" EVERYWHERE!)

Josiah and his good buddy Caleb decorated Halloween cookies.

Gracie just continue to grow out of her clothes, but is always lookin' cute cute cute! :-)

videos for your viewing pleasure

Here's a couple videos of the little ones for you. Grace is "talking" alot now and is really trying hard to get this whole laughing thing down.
And this is how Josiah spends alot of his day :-)  Honestly, this is his favorite thing to do, it doesn't matter where we take him, the only thing he wants to do is push the stroller, whether it's his or Grace's.

I love both their expressions here. Ha! I do belive these two have some trouble making fun ahead of them ;-)

A Nice New Roof

Our garage was in desperate need of a new roof. You could tell because grass was beginning to grow ontop of it. (if you click on the first picture you can see a closeup of the shape it was in).  Brian loves home improvement projects so he set out and researched how to put on a new roof.  We definitely saved $ by doing it ourselves. So, Day 1 was scraping off the old shingles (Thanks Grandapa Larry for all your help on Friday!) and it didn't take too long, then Day 2 was putting on new ones and that only took 4 hours!  Our friend had a friend who is a roofer and he's amazingly FAST! This guy was very kind to give up time on his saturday to come help Brian and that is why they finished in 4 hours! So here's some before, during and after pictures of the roof (yay for no more leaks.)  Now I just have to talk Brian into a new fireplace before winter comes :-)

A Good Book - you should read it

Looking for a good fiction book to read. Read "Chasing Fireflies" by Charles Martin. I'm not really good at writing book reviews, so I'll just say this is a good book to read :-)

Christie, he lives in Jacksonville, Fl a stone's throw away from the St. John's River (so they say :-).  Maybe you'll run into him one day :-)Mom suggested it and you were right mom it's an excellent, entertaining read. I'm looking forward to reading more by him.

Little Learning Moments

I walked by Josiah's room and found this :-)
It's really cute, Josiah repeats everything we say now so he can say the alphabet (with help of course :-)  Josiah is growing up so fast it's fun to catch these little moments of him learning something new.  He has a GREAT daddy who is always trying to teach him anything and everything! (Look, even the dog is lying there trying to soak up some new knowledge... haha!)

What Sweet Sweet Children!

For Grandad

Josiah likes to watch himself on videos.  He literally will sit for at least 10 minute stretches and watch videos on repeat. This one was making him laugh today as he watched it while we he was eating his lunch.  I like it too! :-)  This one's for you Grandad!

On my own again

Well, Grandad and Yiayia have been gone for a few days and I'm finally starting to relearn how to be on my own again :-) It was so wonderful having them with us last week. They are Greatly missed! I finished the last frozen meal mom left me last night (yes, I'm spoiled rotten!).  I had to bring cookies for a church function last week and mom even made them for me and froze them before she left :-)

So here's the latest project.  I finally decided to do something with the kids' great big empty wall in their room. It was a wall decal I got at babies R us.  now I just have to get Josiah to stop picking at the leaves.
